Rules of Conduct for Minor Students
(From 12 to 17 years old)
INTRODUCTION
The main idea of this contract is to safeguard the integrity of the students and to preserve the good reputation of the school. This document must be read and signed by both parents and students. Parents and students must keep a copy of this contract.
MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION:
It is an absolute requirement for the students to be registered to mail the following documents at (52) (415) (3170533).
TRANSPORTATION:
For safety measures all minors that travel on their own or in a group without adult supervision, ought to use the Universidad Internacional transportation service, from and to the airport. This service will pick the students up and drop them off at their host family's door. This service will be paid in dollars, travel checks or pesos by the students to the driver.
The minor students can only go on excursions organized by Universidad Internacional, and these excursions last only one day. The only way students can go on excursions not organized by Universidad Internacional is if they are going with their parents or tutor.
The students can not take taxis from the streets, only radio-taxis should be used. They can only ride buses recommended by the host family.
FAMILY:
For the students and host family's safety, the students will not have the house keys.
The curfew for students is 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 10:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday.
The students are not allowed to sleep over anywhere else but at their host family. If they would like to invite a friend they previously must ask the host family for permission. Visitors can not get in or stay in the students bedroom.
It is not allowed for students to make long distance calls, mobile phone calls or collect calls from the host family's house. And phone calls will be permitted until 10:00 p.m.
The students can buy pre-paid phone cards and use them in public telephones.
REGISTRATION:
All students will have to be with their counselor the first Saturday during orientation and will have to keep in touch with him or her and follow and respect his or her instructions.
All pending payments will have to be made first thing on Saturday morning during registration.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL:
The use of drugs and alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited and will not be allowed under any circumstances.
The student will be expelled and sent back to his or her country home immediately if she or he breaks the contract. All expenses will be paid by parents or the tutor. There will be no refunds on registration and tuition fees or related charges.
PROPERTY DAMAGES:
All damage caused by students in their host family or inside the premises of Centro Bilingüe will be paid by the parents.
