Centro Bilingüe's Summer Day Camp Program will introduce your children to Spanish in a Fun, Safe, and Educational way. They will learn the language in its cultural setting with immersion classes in:
Spanish Language
Dance
Music
Cooking
History
Arts & Crafts
And much more....

HISTORY. Centro Bilingüe de San Miguel is the result of 25 years of teaching experience by director Sara Murillo, a lifelong resident of San Miguel de Allende. After many years of teaching in the public school system she founded this school in 1998.

PHILOSOPHY. To help your children develop skills to become confident, happy
and successful in the culturally diverse society of tomorrow.

• Children learn by doing. They learn by handling materials, exploring and thinking about environments, discussing and planning projects, and conducting experiments. The curriculum encourages learning through discovery and project based program.
• Children learn at different rates, using different strengths and different learning styles. The curriculum blends inquiry-based and skills-based activities, responding to each child's unique level of development. Classrooms are heterogeneous and inclusive.
• Children learn about the world in an integrated way. The curriculum integrates the disciplines of math, reading, writing, science, social studies and the arts.
• Children learn when they feel good about themselves. The curriculum fosters appreciation and respect for individual, cultural and racial diversity.
• Children learn when their parents are active participants in their school and education.
  Parent involvement is a key ingredient in the success of the school and parents are expected to participate and support the learning environment.

MISSION. To introduce your child to a different cultural environment while he/she acquires Spanish language skills through fun activities and interaction. Provide lessons that foster communicative and cognitive skill development.

Create a motivational environment through challenging and responsive activities.
AGE: 3-5,6-8,9-10, 11-12, 13-15.
CLASS SIZE: Limited to 10 students.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
STAFF: We employ experienced, well trained native Spanish-speaking bilingual teachers.

The System uses physical movement to develop language skills, through repeated exposure and intensive Listening.
Children from all over world inter-relate in a totally Mexican atmosphere.
AII our activities are conducted in Spanish by bilingual Mexican native teachers.

FEES & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
*$200 US per week per child. Tuition includes book, materials, field trips).
*Limited space available.
*Classes one week minimum.
*We suggest at least a four week attendance in order to reach our goals.
*payments are made in advance.
*Student progress is carefully monitored with assessment of individual strengths and weaknesses.
*Class size limited to 10.
*Students are encouraged to speak Spanish at all times.
*After care is available for students who need to remain at school past 1:30 p.m.
*Baby-sitting is also available (additional fee). (Ask for detailed information)

  All of our supervised field trips include:
  
• On Call Doctor in the unlikely event of an emergency
  
• Our instructors carry cellular phones as well as first aid kits
  
• All materials, field trip transportation, and meals are included
  
  A Day At Camp
  
• The program runs 4.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 1:00pm.
  
• Classes are taught by Native Speakers
  
• Local Mexican Children participate in our Summer Program and give your Child an opportunity to communicate in Spanish
  
• Classes are divided based on skill levels into the following age groups:
  ages 3-5
  ages 6-8
  ages 8-10
  ages 10-12
  ages 13-16
  
• Activities are age oriented, with more advanced programs for pre-teen and teenage students.
